As you may be aware, I had an opportunity to serve as the 36th President of Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) (7/1/07—6/30/08), and organized the US-Korea Conference (UKC) 2007 in Washington D.C. One of my successors, Prof. Ji (Physics Professor at NCSU) is currently organizing UKC2009, which will be held during July 16-19, 2009 in Raleigh, NC, with Prof. Richard Kim (former KOTAA President). To support my successor and to promote S&T continuously, I am organizing an Intelligent Transportation and Environmental System (ITES) Symposium under UKC2009 with Prof. Hangsik Shin at KAIST and Kyungsoo Chon at SNU as attached. It may be noted that the theme of UKC2009 is "Creative Minds for Global Sustainability." Since UKC2009 organizing committee wants to finalize their program soon, we call for papers. It may be noted that the on-line abstract submission is available under PAPER SUBMISSION of the UKC 2009 website (http://ukc.ksea.org/ukc2009). Although the UKC 2009 Program Committee currently sets the last date of abstract submission as March 15, it would be greatly appreciated if you and/or your colleague submit the abstract as early as possible for the timely organization of the program.
