Greetings from KOTAA!
The Korean Transportation Association in America (KOTAA) Travel Grant Award was founded in 2001 to encourage students in transportation areas to attend the TRB Annual Meeting and KOTAA Annual Meeting so that students join the community that KOTAA has created for networking and collaboration.
KOTAA is currently accepting applications for the 23rd KOTAA Travel Grant Award. Application guidelines and instructions are included in this announcement.
Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for consideration, Award applicants:
- must attend the 2024 KOTAA annual meeting with a paper(s) accepted for presentation and/or publication in TRB 2024.
- must prepare a 3-minute presentation recording in English and send a YouTube link of the recording along with the application form by December 4, 2023
- must plan to pursue a career in transportation-related field.
- must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a transportation-related field at the time of the KOTAA Annual Meeting OR recently graduated from such a program and currently searching for employment or advanced degree opportunities.
- must be a KSEA member (Apply for KSEA membership at https://www.ksea.org/signUp). Do NOT pay your KSEA membership when you renew/apply on the KSEA website. KOTAA will collect your membership fee on-site. Detailed instructions are written on the application. See below.
- must be a KOSEN member (Apply for free membership at https://www.kosen21.org/index.do).
Application Instructions: Award applicants must submit ALL the following documents to KotaaTravelGrant2024@gmail.com by December 4, 2023:
- KOTAA Travel Grant Award Application Form,
- paper accepted in PDF form, and
- paper review results in PDF form.
Award winners will be announced on December 16, 2023 and awarded at the KOTAA Annual Meeting.
